Head of Operational Division

About the role

The Head of Operational Division will support the Chief Operational Officer in developing business plans and operational strategies, overseeing branch performance and ensuring compliance across the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the COO in preparing the institution’s business plan and operational plan of action.
• Conduct field visits to branches to oversee operations, provide support and implement improvement actions.
• Exchange information with the COO and other units to ensure adequate information flow.
• Support the COO in setting performance targets for branches.
• Develop branch‑by‑branch strategies for targeting potential clients and organizing loan officers.
• Oversee assessment of new branch openings, ensuring profitability and proper supervision.
• Implement internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure smooth operations.
• Respond to audit reports and monitor implementation of risk, quality assurance and audit findings.
• Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures and regulatory compliance across all branches.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in banking or micro‑finance operations and staff supervision.
• Good understanding of the Cambodian banking/micro‑finance sector.
• Strong communication skills, ethical commitment and trustworthiness.
