Operator – Procurement & Shipment

About the role

The Operator will support the procurement and logistics team in sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely customs clearance for imports. This role is essential for maintaining smooth supply chain operations within a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Explore new market sources for goods and services and review specifications, delivery terms, and payment conditions.
• Obtain supplier quotations, perform quote analysis, and prepare documentation for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to guarantee on‑time delivery and service compliance with purchase orders and contracts.
• Update and maintain supplier and price databases, ensuring accurate and current information.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages, or returns and communicate status updates to requestors.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders, and service contracts for departmental approval.
• Collaborate with transport agents and customs authorities to manage shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
• Maintain comprehensive records and documentation in line with retention schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, shipment management, and customs clearance, preferably with exposure to the power, energy or infrastructure sector.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian customs regulations, tax provisions, and procurement best practices.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
