Operations Data Engineer

About the role

The Operations Data Engineer will support the procurement and logistics functions by assisting in market research, supplier management, and customs clearance activities. This role ensures that goods and services are sourced efficiently and delivered on schedule to meet internal demand.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in exploring new markets for goods and services and reviewing specifications, delivery, and payment terms.
• Gather supplier quotations, perform quote analysis, and prepare documentation for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to track order status and ensure timely delivery.
• Update and maintain supplier and price databases, including contact information and service records.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs authorities to manage shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
• Handle issue resolution such as defective goods, damages, and returns.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation in accordance with retention schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, shipment coordination, and customs clearance, preferably with exposure to the power, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian customs regulations and tax provisions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team and meet strict deadlines.
• Negotiation and analytical abilities.
