One-to-One Teaching Assistant (Special Needs)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate one‑to‑one Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a student with additional needs at Northbridge International School Cambodia. Working closely with the inclusion teacher, classroom teacher and families, you will help the student achieve their full academic and emotional potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic and emotional support to the assigned student on a one‑to‑one basis.
• Collaborate with classroom and inclusion teachers to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
• Assist in developing and delivering the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
• Monitor progress, record observations and provide regular feedback to stakeholders.
• Ensure the student’s safety and well‑being at all times.
• Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment and engage with parents, caregivers and external professionals.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy and genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
