National Consultant for My Journey Mobile App Update

About the role

UN Women is seeking a National Consultant to update, test and deploy the My Journey mobile application. The consultant will work remotely, collaborating closely with programme and communications staff to ensure the app reflects approved content and functions smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Update app branding, store listings and incorporate UN Women‑approved content, multimedia and service information.
• Test and validate all interactive features (phone numbers, hyperlinks, etc.) and ensure compliance with Google Play Store requirements.
• Set up a privacy‑sensitive analytics framework to track downloads, active users, retention and feature usage while meeting data‑protection standards.
• Develop and execute a user‑experience feedback process, produce a concise report with findings and recommendations, and hand over a sustainable monitoring system.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to work with gender‑equality content and sensitive stakeholder groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a cross‑cultural environment.
• Experience incorporating substantive guidance into digital applications and ensuring data‑privacy compliance.
