Senior Supervisor / Assistant Manager, IT – BI & Data Analytics

About the role

The Senior Supervisor/Assistant Manager, IT – BI & Data Analytics leads the design, development, and delivery of business intelligence solutions. This position transforms raw data into actionable insights, manages BI tools and dashboards, and supervises a team of analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee end‑to‑end data pipelines from source systems to BI dashboards, ensuring reliable ingestion from ERP, CRM, APIs, databases and files.
• Lead development of ETL processes using Power Query (M language), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent, implementing data validation and quality checks.
• Design and maintain efficient data models (star or snowflake schemas), define fact‑dimension relationships and optimize DAX calculations for Power BI.
• Configure and manage data refresh schedules in Power BI Service, monitor gateway performance and troubleshoot refresh failures; Airflow experience is a plus.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports, translating business requirements into technical solutions with clear KPIs and visual storytelling.
• Lead, mentor and assign tasks to BI developers and junior analysts, conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in BI or data analytics, with at least 1‑2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
