About the role

EDU Early Years School in Tuol Kouk, Phnom Penh is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support Montessori and early years classrooms. This full‑time, on‑site position involves assisting teachers with daily instructional activities and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in planning and delivering age‑appropriate learning activities.
• Guide small groups of children during hands‑on learning and playtime.
• Assist with daily routines, outdoor activities, and classroom transitions.
• Observe and record children’s progress, providing gentle behavior guidance.
• Prepare and maintain learning materials, ensuring safety and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues, attend staff meetings and training sessions.

Required profile

• Experience supporting instruction in Montessori or early years settings.
• Strong communication skills in both spoken and written Khmer and English.
• Foundational knowledge of early childhood education principles.
• Basic numeracy skills to aid early mathematics activities.
• Proven ability to work patiently and inclusively with children of diverse backgrounds.
• Preferred: diploma or degree in education, Montessori certification, first‑aid training.
