Manager, Collection

About the role

The Collections Manager will lead a team responsible for recovering outstanding debts while preserving positive customer relationships. This role requires strategic planning, performance monitoring, and close collaboration with legal and other cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective collection strategies and procedures to maximize debt recovery.
• Lead, coach, and train the collections team, providing guidance as needed.
• Monitor team performance, analyze results, and introduce measures to improve productivity and success rates.
• Review delinquent accounts and determine appropriate actions in line with internal policies, legal requirements, and Cambodian regulations.
• Communicate with customers to negotiate payment plans, settlements, or other resolutions.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of all collection activities, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with legal, approval authorities, and other departments to resolve complex issues or escalate when necessary.
• Stay informed on industry trends and introduce new technologies or action plans to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare regular reports on collection activities and present insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in collections, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian collection practices, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation abilities.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team to meet targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
