Legal Supervisor

About the role

Prudential is seeking a Legal Supervisor to provide comprehensive legal support across the organisation. The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, drafting and filing applications, and keeping the business updated on relevant laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review internal policies, SOPs, forms, customer‑facing documents, product documents, marketing and sales materials to ensure legal and regulatory alignment.
• Support contract review and execution, including risk identification, negotiation assistance, verification of signing authority, inclusion of standard clauses, routing, execution coordination and record maintenance.
• Assist regulatory and government relations activities, preparing and reviewing regulatory correspondence and report submissions.
• Provide corporate governance and company secretarial support, preparing board and shareholder resolutions, meeting agendas, minutes, statutory records and governance documents.
• Support insurance complaints, claims and potential litigation by assessing legal risk, reviewing correspondence and advising on resolution options.
• Coordinate with external counsel, follow up on advice, deliverables and implementation of recommendations.
• Maintain proper docketing of company records, legal administrative documents and regulatory correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and assist with tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in law or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance, financial services, a law firm or related industry.
• Proactive, quality‑focused and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, collaborative team spirit and excellent spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of corporate and commercial law, with strong legal research and drafting abilities.
• Effective management, problem‑solving and negotiation capabilities.
