Lead Teacher - Upper GEP & Diploma Program

About the role

The Lead Teacher will oversee the Upper GEP and Diploma programmes, ensuring that curriculum materials are current and that teaching standards are maintained. This position supports both teachers and students to deliver high‑quality education in Phnom Penh.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update GEP and Diploma programme documents and course materials on the server.
• Monitor, evaluate, and develop instructional materials for the programmes.
• Provide administrative and educational support to teachers to maximise service to ACE students.
• Conduct programme meetings each term and mark placement tests for new students.
• Interview prospective teaching candidates, produce interview reports, and recommend level moderators.
• Counsel students on attendance, motivation and academic level issues.
• Deliver professional development workshops for programme teachers each term.
• Organise inductions, mentorships and peer‑observations for new teachers.
• Assist with timetabling, assessments and enrolment procedures for borderline or failing students.
• Participate in ACE events and perform any other duties assigned by the Campus Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with an ELT‑related qualification; a master’s in TESOL or Applied Linguistics is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Commitment to professional integrity, ethical conduct and problem‑solving.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
