Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of housekeeping and laundry teams, ensuring rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness. This role involves coordinating staff assignments, handling guest complaints, and maintaining inventory of supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Assign duties to housekeeping and laundry staff and inspect work for compliance with cleanliness standards.
• Investigate and resolve guest complaints related to housekeeping services and equipment.
• Prepare daily work assignments based on room turnover and discharge lists.
• Conduct orientation and in‑service training on policies, procedures, and equipment use.
• Maintain inventory levels and order cleaning and laundry supplies as needed.
• Perform cleaning tasks during emergencies or staff shortages.
• Develop and enforce standards and procedures for housekeeping operations.
• Screen applicants, hire new staff, and recommend promotions, transfers, or dismissals.
• Assist the accountant with purchasing of supplies and be on call 24 hours for emergencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management.
• 3–5 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
• Fluent in both Khmer and English.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
