Head of Sales

About the role

We are seeking a high‑performing Head of Sales to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth for our fast‑moving consumer goods business. You will lead a large, geographically dispersed sales team, shape strategic sales plans and ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual sales strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare annual, quarterly and monthly sales plans and budgets.
• Identify new business opportunities, distribution channels and market expansion strategies.
• Drive sustainable revenue and profit growth while analysing market trends, competitor activity and consumer behaviour.
• Set sales targets by region, territory, channel and product category and monitor performance daily, weekly and monthly.
• Review KPIs, implement corrective actions when targets are missed and lead regular sales review meetings.
• Ensure achievement of volume, value and distribution objectives.
• Collaborate closely with marketing on trade promotions, product launches and consumer promotions.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the direct line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• 10‑15 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry.
• Proven track record of developing and executing growth‑focused sales strategies.
• Demonstrated success in achieving revenue, market‑share and profitability targets.
• Extensive experience managing General Trade, Modern Trade, Wholesale and Key Accounts.
• Strong leadership of large, dispersed sales teams.
• Experience in distributor management, sales forecasting, budgeting and commercial planning.
