Hard Collection Officer

About the role

The Hard Collection Officer is responsible for managing overdue accounts, ensuring timely repayment, and mitigating credit risk for Chailease Royal Leasing. This role involves direct interaction with clients, field visits, and coordination with legal authorities to resolve default cases.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily overdue client lists and verify reasons for delinquency.
• Obtain repayment commitments and set realistic repayment dates with each client.
• Encourage timely payments and, when necessary, recommend repossession or legal action to management.
• Conduct field collections to resolve default cases on site.
• Liaise with local authorities and police to facilitate legal processes and documentation.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law, banking and finance, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in collections, credit control, or a related area.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently within a team‑oriented environment.
• Proficiency in English; Mandarin skills are a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
