Commis Chef

About the role

The Commis Chef will support the kitchen team at Park Hyatt Siem Reap, helping to deliver high‑quality food service across the hotel’s outlets and event functions. This entry‑level position focuses on basic food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards and assisting senior chefs in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut and seed vegetables and fruits.
• Clean, cut and grind meats, poultry and seafood.
• Prepare breaded items by dipping in crumbs, flour or batter.
• Stir and strain soups and sauces; weigh and measure ingredients.
• Transport pans, kettles and trays between workstations, stove and refrigerator.
• Store foods in designated areas and keep workstations, equipment and utensils clean.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Carve cooked meats and assist in quality control of menu items.
• Set up buffet presentations and support event service.
