Clinical Researcher

About the role

We are seeking a remote, hourly contractor to act as a Clinical Research Subject Matter Expert for SME Careers, an AI data‑services company. In this position you will review AI‑generated biomedical content, create gold‑standard research prompts, and provide detailed feedback to improve the accuracy and safety of AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed prompts and reference answers covering clinical research methodology, interpretation, and scientific communication.
• Evaluate and rank AI‑generated responses for correctness, rigor, clarity, and relevance.
• Test AI outputs for factual errors, misleading evidence interpretation, unsafe recommendations, and bias.
• Fact‑check medical and scientific claims and write high‑quality explanations and model solutions.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on reasoning quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Clinical Research, Biomedical Sciences, PharmD, MD/DO, RN or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in clinical research (academia, hospitals, CROs, biopharma, public‑health research, etc.).
• Strong command of study design, endpoints, inclusion/exclusion criteria, power/sample‑size intuition, and result interpretation.
• Comfortable evaluating statistical reasoning such as effect sizes, confidence intervals, p‑values, multiple comparisons, missing data and sensitivity analyses.
• Deep understanding of bias, confounding and causality; GCP principles are a plus.
