Chief Engineer

About the role

Accor is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead its hotel engineering team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of all hotel facilities while driving sustainability and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the engineering team to achieve operational excellence.
• Oversee maintenance and reliability of MEP systems, HVAC, fire & life‑safety, guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house operations.
• Design and implement preventive maintenance programmes to maximise asset performance.
• Manage departmental budgets, capital‑expenditure projects and contractor relationships.
• Drive energy‑efficiency, sustainability initiatives and ensure environmental compliance.
• Guarantee compliance with local regulations, health‑and‑safety standards and Accor brand requirements.
• Collaborate with the Executive Committee to support strategic and operational objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive engineering leadership experience, including senior management in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Proven track record managing capital projects, budgets and preventive maintenance programmes.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Passion for sustainability, innovation and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
