Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding & Logistics

About the role

We are launching a new Freight Forwarding & Logistics division in Cambodia and need a Business Development Manager to build the commercial function from the ground up. This is a rare chance to shape a business at launch rather than manage an existing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire shippers and consignees across Cambodia and international markets.
• Build relationships with decision‑makers and represent The Better Cambodia with clients, chambers, and industry bodies.
• Structure and present freight and logistics proposals covering air, ocean, land, customs, and warehousing.
• Close deals, grow accounts and manage the full commercial cycle.
• Collaborate with an established international freight partner and a pricing/operations team in India.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics or supply‑chain sales.
• At least 3 years working in the Cambodian market with an existing network of shippers and consignees.
• Strong understanding of air/sea freight pricing, Incoterms and Cambodian customs procedures.
• Fluent English; additional languages such as Khmer, Hindi, Vietnamese or Chinese are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain or a related field.
• Self‑driven and comfortable representing the company at senior levels.
