Automotive Sales Manager

About the role

The Automotive Sales Manager will lead a dealership sales team, driving vehicle sales and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This role combines strategic planning, team coaching, and hands‑on involvement in sales activities.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train and supervise a team of automotive sales professionals.
• Set sales targets, monitor progress and motivate the team to exceed quotas.
• Coach salespeople on effective closing techniques and provide ongoing performance guidance.
• Forecast monthly and quarterly sales and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues when needed.
• Organise and lead regular sales meetings.
• Develop and manage a CRM system to retain existing customers and attract new prospects.
• Maintain strong focus on customer satisfaction and compile regular performance reports for management.
• Travel to other provinces as required.

Required profile

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in Sales, Marketing or Management.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a dealership sales role with a proven record of exceeding targets.
• Strong leadership abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and an outgoing, service‑oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of inventory control and management.
