Assistant Manager - Operations

About the role

Maersk is seeking an Assistant Manager – Operations to support the execution of fulfillment and logistics activities across a variety of warehouse environments. You will work within defined boundaries, applying practical methods and techniques to ensure smooth inventory, warehouse and fulfilment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations in owned or operated warehouses, including CFS, CY, inland depots and bonded facilities.
• Lead a team of employees, handling hiring, coaching, performance appraisal and pay reviews.
• Develop and implement operational policies, practices and business plans.
• Coordinate task priorities, monitor progress and ensure timely completion of operational objectives.
• Evaluate solutions against known alternatives and ensure effectiveness within the area of expertise.

Required profile

• Previous experience in logistics, fulfillment or related operational roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people, including employee lifecycle responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on practical implementation.
• Ability to work independently while seeking supervision for complex tasks.
