Trade Marketing Manager

About the role

The Trade Marketing Manager will develop and execute trade marketing strategies to boost product visibility, distribution, and sales across traditional and modern trade channels. This role bridges Marketing and Sales to ensure brand strategies are effectively implemented at the point of sale.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual and monthly trade marketing plans aligned with sales and marketing objectives.
• Create channel strategies for traditional trade, modern trade, wholesale, distributor and key account channels.
• Identify growth opportunities by channel, product category and geography.
• Coordinate between Marketing and Sales to translate brand strategies into in‑store execution plans.
• Design and manage trade promotion programs, including consumer promotions, discounts, bundle offers and seasonal campaigns.
• Plan, develop and deploy POSM such as shelf strips, wobblers, posters, banners and display stands.
• Monitor POSM utilization, ensure correct product placement and address execution gaps.
• Prepare and control the annual trade marketing budget, evaluate ROI of promotions and activations.
• Conduct market research, track competitor activities and analyse sales data to provide actionable insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in FMCG, sales, trade marketing or brand marketing.
• 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of FMCG distribution and trade channels.
• Excellent analytical, commercial and negotiation skills.
• Proven leadership and people management abilities.
