Teaching Assistant

About the role

The Milkyway English School is seeking a full‑time Teaching Assistant to join its campus in Voat Phnum. Working on‑site, you will support lead teachers in delivering English language and basic mathematics lessons, helping create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning and delivering English and basic math lessons.
• Prepare and organise classroom materials and resources.
• Support students during classwork, lessons and break times.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback and communicate needs to teaching staff.
• Maintain a safe, orderly and inclusive classroom setting.
• Participate in school meetings, training sessions and collaborative planning.

Required profile

• Strong interest in education and experience working with children.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with students, colleagues and families.
• Comfort with basic mathematics concepts and English language instruction.
• Reliability, punctuality and good organisational habits.
• Relevant coursework or certification in education, childcare or a related field is an advantage.

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Basic classroom management and instructional support skills.
