Tax Officer – Tax Compliance & Reporting

About the role

Hyundai Cambodia is looking for a reliable Tax Officer to manage all tax declaration, filing and reporting activities. You will ensure full compliance with Cambodian tax regulations, handle monthly and annual filings, and act as a primary contact during tax audits and official reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly tax returns, including VAT, Salary Tax, Withholding Tax, Fringe Benefit Tax and Pre‑payment of Income Tax.
• Submit annual Tax on Income (TOI) declarations.
• Process all declarations through the General Department of Taxation (GDT) E‑Filing system and maintain organized supporting documentation.
• Reconcile tax accounts with the general ledger to guarantee accuracy.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing required tax documentation.
• Deliver documents to tax authorities, update the company profile with tax officials and coordinate with local tax officers as needed.
• Monitor changes in Cambodian tax law and advise internal teams on compliant invoicing and contract handling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field (a Diploma in Cambodian Tax is a plus).
• 1‑3 years of hands‑on tax declaration experience in Cambodia.
• Good written and spoken Khmer and English; Korean is optional.
• High integrity, strong attention to numerical detail and ability to meet tight filing deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with tax calculation tools.
• Familiarity with GDT online E‑Filing systems.
