Sustainability Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Sustainability Officer based in Phnom Penh to support the implementation of Groupe Beaumanoir’s sustainability standards across factories in Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia. The role ensures ethical, social and environmental compliance throughout the supply chain, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Groupe Beaumanoir’s legal, ethical and sustainability standards across suppliers and partners.
• Conduct social, environmental, health & safety audits for new factories during qualification and authorisation.
• Perform regular audits and site visits to active factories, assess compliance levels and support corrective action plans.
• Deliver training and guidance to factory management and staff on compliance requirements and best practices.
• Coordinate and follow up on external audit schemes such as ICS and Worldly Higg.
• Manage audit scheduling, reporting, analysis and documentation.
• Maintain and update sustainability databases and records.
• Collect timely and accurate environmental data for key factories.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years experience as a social compliance auditor or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of the textile/apparel industry (highly valued).
• Experience within a multinational buying office is an advantage.
• Strong Khmer and English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel frequently.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of ICS, BSCI, SA8000 and fire safety auditing standards.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
