Relationship Manager – Payroll Business

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Payroll Business will act as the primary point of contact for the bank’s payroll clients, fostering long‑term relationships and driving growth of the payroll portfolio. This role combines client service, business development and cross‑selling of the bank’s full range of products.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with existing payroll clients.
• Identify and pursue cross‑selling opportunities for loans, credit cards, investments and other bank services.
• Serve as the main contact for payroll inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Conduct regular meetings with key accounts to assess satisfaction and uncover improvement areas.
• Acquire new payroll clients and expand the bank’s payroll portfolio.
• Promote the bank’s payroll solutions, emphasizing efficiency, security and compliance.
• Monitor payroll business performance against targets and prepare regular metric reports.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and mentor junior staff to ensure service excellence.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings and regulatory changes, providing feedback to product and strategy teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in banking, financial services or payroll solutions, with a focus on client relationship management or business development.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and building lasting customer relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with banking software.
• Experience using payroll systems.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
