Senior Large Business Loan Officer

About the role

The Senior Large Business Loan Officer is responsible for acquiring, onboarding, and managing large‑business loan clients for the Head Office. The role combines client relationship management with rigorous credit underwriting to ensure high‑quality loan portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and expand a portfolio of large‑business clients in line with credit policy.
• Collect and verify all documentation required for loan applications.
• Conduct credit investigations, financial statement analysis, property evaluations, and site visits to assess repayment capacity and collateral adequacy.
• Prepare detailed Credit Appraisal Reports and financial analyses for senior approval.
• Explain loan products, cross‑sell banking services, and provide tailored financial advice.
• Monitor loan performance, ensure compliance with covenants, and manage delinquent accounts.
• Collaborate with credit teams on post‑disbursement conditions and portfolio risk management.
• Act as a role model, fostering a “speak‑up” culture within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in corporate or large‑business loan underwriting.
• Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of credit risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and client‑relationship skills.
