Internal Control Unit Manager

About the role

The Internal Control Unit Manager will lead the design, implementation and monitoring of internal control systems for a growing organization in Phnom Penh. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures financial, operational and compliance processes are robust, efficient and aligned with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve internal control frameworks across the company.
• Assess risks, review procedures and conduct internal audits to identify control gaps.
• Prepare and present control‑related reports to senior leadership.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve control issues and support policy implementation.
• Train and mentor staff on internal control best practices and promote a culture of accountability.
• Drive continuous process‑improvement initiatives to safeguard assets.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management and audit methodologies.
• Experience in field operations, financial analysis and budgeting.
• Proven leadership experience supervising teams and managing cross‑functional projects.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
