Production Manager – Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Production Manager to lead the setup, commissioning and daily operation of a new food‑manufacturing facility. The role will oversee the entire production line, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency from launch to stable commercial output.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production setup and readiness from factory commissioning through stable commercial operations.
• Develop production plans, manpower schedules, shift arrangements, SOPs and work instructions.
• Own daily output, line performance, capacity, delivery targets and resolve operational issues.
• Monitor KPIs such as output, downtime, yield, waste, cost and delivery performance.
• Coordinate equipment installation, trial runs and handover with suppliers, contractors, maintenance and QA/QC teams.
• Manage maintenance activities and minimise downtime by troubleshooting machinery or line problems.
• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate production teams across shifts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial food manufacturing (processed or packaged foods, instant noodles, sauces, snacks, dairy, dried foods, etc.).
• Direct hands‑on leadership of food‑processing lines (mixing, cooking, seasoning, frying, drying, baking or retort operations).
• Experience in factory setup, equipment installation, commissioning or production‑line startup.
• Ability to work in a startup environment and transition to full‑scale factory operations.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP/GHP and food‑safety systems.
• Experience with equipment installation and commissioning.
• Production planning and KPI monitoring.
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance coordination.
