Measurement Technician – SPC Inspection & Equipment Maintenance

About the role

The Measurement Technician is responsible for programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting GSI8100 vision inspection equipment. The role supports statistical process control (SPC) efforts by summarizing, recording, and generating charts and reports from inspection data.

Key responsibilities

• Program SPC solder paste inspection and perform regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of GSI8100 equipment.
• Transfer files, execute shutdown procedures, and maintain backup files.
• Support equipment and process evaluation activities using appropriate measuring tools and data‑gathering methods as directed by Quality.
• Measure, record, and maintain SPC data, technical reference files, and physical storage of past control‑chart data; prepare reports for the Quality Supervisor.
• Create, distribute, and audit manufacturing SPC charts to ensure compliance with control‑chart procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or higher with 1‑3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in machine operation preferred; machine programming and CAD data interpretation are a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, mylars, drawings, and bills of materials.
• Willingness to perform periodic on‑call weekend duties for manufacturing coverage.
