Lab Technician – Vision Inspection & SPC

About the role

Jabil is seeking a Lab Technician to program, maintain and troubleshoot GSI8100 vision inspection equipment used for solder paste SPC inspections. The role involves data collection, charting and reporting to support quality and manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Program and operate GSI8100 equipment for SPC solder paste inspection.
• Perform regular maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of the vision system.
• Transfer files, execute shutdown procedures and maintain backup data.
• Collect, record and analyze SPC data, generate control charts and reports as directed by the Quality Supervisor.
• Support equipment and process evaluation activities using appropriate measurement tools.
• Create, distribute and audit manufacturing SPC charts ensuring compliance with procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or higher.
• 1‑3 years of related experience, preferably in machine operation or programming.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and BOMs is a plus.
• Willingness to be on‑call for weekend coverage.

Required skills

• Operation and programming of GSI8100 vision inspection equipment.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) knowledge and charting.
• Proficiency with Excel and Minitab.
• Machine operation and programming experience.
• Basic understanding of CAD data and blueprint reading.
