Lead Automation Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Automation Maintenance Technician to maintain and support PLC, HMI, SCADA, drive and industrial control systems across brewing, utilities and packaging operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support all PLC, HMI, SCADA, drive and industrial control systems across brewing, utilities and packaging operations.
• Lead fault diagnosis and root cause analysis of automation and electrical failures.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs for automation assets.
• Maintain PLC backups, software revisions and control documentation.
• Support commissioning and qualification of new equipment and automation projects.
• Ensure system reliability and minimise unplanned production downtime.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑10 years industrial automation experience.
• Minimum 3 years supporting high‑speed packaging equipment.
• Extensive Siemens PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in beverage, brewery, FMCG or food manufacturing facilities.
• Experience with KHS, Krones lines, robotic palletisers, tunnel and flash pasteurisers, and utilities automation.
