Head of Blue Team Department

About the role

The Head of Blue Team Department will lead the bank’s defensive cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring policies, controls and incident response processes are robust and compliant. Reporting to senior management, this role collaborates closely with the Cyber Security Team to protect the organization’s digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, document and publish security policies across the bank.
• Develop and maintain the security roadmap aligned with top‑management objectives.
• Monitor alerts, triage and respond to security incidents in partnership with the Cyber Security Team.
• Lead penetration testing, red‑team exercises and vulnerability assessments.
• Advise on cybersecurity issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure new solutions comply with security standards, regulations and risk‑mitigation requirements.
• Perform risk assessments for all IT changes and projects.
• Manage security of applications, endpoints, network and cloud environments.
• Coordinate with the Technology Steering Committee to align security and business needs.
• Drive cybersecurity awareness programs and continuously improve employee vigilance.
• Oversee team performance, task assignment and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity implementation and management.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to present findings to senior management.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
