Cost Controller

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Cost Controller position is based at the SOMA Hotel Riverside in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The role focuses on monitoring daily hotel operating costs, verifying purchase requests, and ensuring accurate financial recording in line with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse daily hotel operating costs and verify purchase requests and orders.
• Prepare cost reports and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
• Reconcile inventory movements, review supplier invoices, and participate in month‑end closing procedures.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in cost control and cost management.
• Proficiency in cost accounting and finance, with ability to prepare reports and support budgeting.
• Analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hospitality or hotel operations experience is an advantage.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work on‑site and communicate in English (Khmer a plus).
