Chief Representative – Logistics & Forwarding (Cambodia)

About the role

The Chief Representative will lead VICO’s logistics and forwarding activities in Cambodia, acting as the primary liaison between local partners, customers and the regional head office. This senior position combines market intelligence, operational coordination and external representation to support cross‑border trade, especially between Cambodia and Vietnam.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor developments in the Cambodian logistics market, regulations and customs procedures, and track cross‑border logistics trends.
• Collect market data on key sectors such as garments, textiles, agriculture and manufacturing.
• Identify and evaluate local logistics partners, including trucking firms, warehouses and customs brokers.
• Serve as the coordination point for Cambodia‑related shipments, assisting operations and account teams with issue resolution and customer enquiries.
• Support the implementation of new or renewed business on Cambodia routes and understand basic logistics pricing structures.
• Prepare SOPs and operational guidelines, ensure smooth hand‑over of projects to Operations and Finance, and improve coordination with Vietnam and the head office.
• Represent VICO at logistics associations, industry groups, trade events and exhibitions, building and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders.
• Provide market insights for marketing, regional promotion and non‑sales activities such as seminars and workshops.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external parties, propose process improvements and cost‑saving ideas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience in logistics, freight forwarding or international trade.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodia’s logistics and customs environment, with cross‑border experience (Cambodia–Vietnam preferred).
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Fluent in English; Khmer and/or Chinese are a plus.
• Professional, reliable and capable of working independently.
