Cambodian-Arabian Cuisine Chef

About the role

The Cambodian‑Arabian Cuisine Chef will join the culinary team at Novotel Phnom Penh BKK 1, preparing and presenting authentic Cambodian and Arabian dishes for both buffet and à‑la‑carte service. This full‑time, on‑site role focuses on delivering consistent quality while supporting special events and promotions.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and maintain a clean, safe workstation in accordance with hotel standards.
• Prepare, cook, season and plate Cambodian and Arabian menu items.
• Monitor portion sizes, control waste and ensure cost‑effective production.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to plan menus and respond to guest feedback.
• Support buffet set‑up, à‑la‑carte service and special event catering.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and inventory records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in professional kitchen operations, preferably in a hotel, resort or high‑volume restaurant.
• Strong practical knowledge of Cambodian and Arabian cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team, follow hotel procedures and communicate clearly with service staff.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Relevant culinary education, certification or apprenticeship; food‑safety certification is a plus.
• Conversational English preferred; Khmer or Arabic language skills are an advantage.
