Senior Database Administrator

About the role

The Senior Database Administrator will manage and maintain the bank's critical database environments, ensuring high availability, security and performance. This role supports software development, testing and production operations from the Head Office in Phnom Penh.

Key responsibilities

• Install and upgrade Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL database software, including HA/DR solutions such as Oracle Data Guard, RAC and equivalent technologies for other platforms.
• Design, build and manage physical and logical standby databases using Data Guard Broker.
• Perform routine maintenance, patching, backup and restore operations for core banking and application servers.
• Control access permissions, monitor performance, and tune databases to meet service level targets.
• Provide development and testing support, documenting configurations and troubleshooting scenarios.
• Automate repetitive DBA tasks and develop UNIX shell scripts as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of DBA experience, preferably in the banking sector.
• Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate (preferred) and basic knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate (preferred).
• Strong Linux system administration skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
