Quantity Surveyor Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are an infrastructure and construction firm seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Manager to lead commercial, cost control and contract administration across multiple road, drainage, utility and bridge projects. The role demands strong technical expertise, leadership and the ability to deliver disciplined results in a fast‑paced main contractor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all quantity surveying activities for infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks and bridges.
• Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications and contract conditions.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, rate analysis and project budgets.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures remain within approved budgets.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, evaluation, negotiations and contract administration.
• Review and certify subcontractor progress claims and variation orders.
• Prepare client payment applications and follow up on certification and collections.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate variations, claims and extensions of time.
• Conduct cost reporting, forecasting and cash‑flow analysis for management.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement and Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company commercial procedures.
• Mentor and develop members of the QS team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 8 years in a managerial position.
• Proven experience on infrastructure projects such as road construction, earthworks, drainage systems, water supply networks, utilities and bridge works.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration.
• Experience handling claims, variations and dispute resolution.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
