IT Audit Officer

About the role

The IT Audit Officer will support the bank’s internal audit function by evaluating the effectiveness of its information technology environment. The role focuses on identifying weaknesses, control gaps, and potential policy breaches to help safeguard the bank’s digital operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in documenting the bank’s IT audit procedures and internal controls.
• Develop audit programs and support team members during audit engagements.
• Execute audit tests, system walk‑throughs and checks using appropriate methodologies.
• Prepare working papers that capture identified risks and the scope of work.
• Take ownership of internal audits for IT, security and project reviews.
• Draft audit reports and submit them for managerial review.
• Ensure all audit documentation is completed, filed and retained properly.
• Stay updated on digital banking trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT/MIS role such as development, network administration, database administration, IT security or IT audit.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISCO, ITIL, ISO 27001) are preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Khmer and English.
• Ability to work independently with high motivation and ethical standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of computer networking, including servers, virtualization, switches, routers and firewalls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
