Senior Trade Finance Operations Officer

About the role

The Senior Trade Finance Operations Officer will ensure the smooth processing of trade finance transactions, verifying documentation, entering data accurately, and maintaining compliance with bank procedures. The role also includes guiding new team members and supporting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Collect all trade finance documents from sales and relationship personnel to ensure complete references.
• Examine client documentation to verify and validate before processing.
• Enter verified trade finance data into the bank’s systems, ensuring error‑free records.
• Confirm terms and conditions with the Credit Operations team for loan drawdowns.
• Obtain facility confirmation from Credit/Legal before executing transactions.
• Screen transactions against related parties in line with TF procedures.
• Monitor outstanding trade transactions and follow up to close cases.
• File customer portfolios and perform quality assurance after transaction completion.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports accurately and on time.
• Participate in system‑related projects, investigations, and provide support to the team.
• Communicate with clients for document collection and maintain strong relationships.
• Guide and support newcomers on system usage and operational guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in Trade Finance Operations or a similar area.
• Strong knowledge of UCP, URDG, ISP and other trade‑finance regulations.
• Excellent task and time‑management abilities.
• Effective communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to propose ideas for process improvement.
• Fluency in Khmer and English; Chinese language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UCP, URDG and ISP trade‑finance rules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using the bank’s internal software platforms.
