Senior Officer, IT Audit

About the role

The Senior Officer, IT Audit will lead risk‑based IT audit assignments for Chip Mong Commercial Bank Plc, evaluating the effectiveness of IT governance, internal controls, cybersecurity and related processes. Reporting to the Supervisor, IT Audit and supporting the Head of Internal Audit, the role ensures audit findings are documented and corrective actions are tracked.

Key responsibilities

• Execute IT audit assignments in line with the approved Internal Audit Plan.
• Develop audit programs based on scope, objectives and identified risks.
• Assess IT General Controls (ITGC) such as access, change, operations, backup/recovery and system development.
• Perform walkthroughs, interviews, testing and control assessments to identify risks.
• Prepare comprehensive audit working papers and findings reports.
• Discuss observations with IT departments, obtain management responses and follow up on action plans.
• Coordinate with business units and maintain independence while fostering constructive relationships.
• Escalate significant control weaknesses to senior audit leadership.
• Support ad‑hoc IT audit reviews, investigations and special projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting risk‑based IT audits within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to prepare clear audit documentation and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Professional independence and objectivity in audit engagements.
