Senior Middleware & API Integration Officer (Chief Level)

About the role

The Chief, Middleware & API Integration leads the bank’s ESB and API platform, building secure integrations that connect core banking, card and payment systems with external partners. The role ensures reliable connectivity between legacy and modern systems while minimizing downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy integration workflows and APIs using Fiorano Enterprise Service Bus and Fiorano API Management.
• Build and manage API gateways, service orchestration, and message routing between internal and external systems.
• Integrate applications using REST, SOAP, and other messaging protocols.
• Implement API security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, API keys and rate limiting.
• Maintain seamless connectivity and data synchronization between legacy systems and modern applications via ESB and middleware.
• Track system health and troubleshoot integration issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist in designing and delivering advanced custom development solutions.
• Resolve application development issues in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with ESB platforms such as Fiorano or WSO2.
• Experience integrating core banking, card, VISA, Bakong, SMS, bill payment, phone top‑up, AML or similar third‑party systems.
• Experience with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or others.

Required skills

• Java/J2EE for custom connector and adapter development.
• Programming in Java, Python, JavaScript and Groovy.
• Proficiency with REST, SOAP, XSD, XML, JSON and XSLT.
• Linux server administration and network infrastructure knowledge.
