About the role

The Primary Homeroom Teacher/Early Years Homeroom Teacher creates a supportive, structured environment for young learners to develop foundational academic skills, social‑emotional awareness, and cognitive abilities. You will deliver daily lessons aligned with the school curriculum and ensure a safe, engaging classroom that promotes wellbeing and consistent routines.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate daily lessons that meet grade‑level expectations and academic goals.
• Maintain a positive, safe classroom environment that supports learning and wellbeing.
• Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment, documentation and timely feedback.
• Ensure English language lessons are understood and mastered at a high level.
• Integrate WAC/IEYC personal goals and school values into learning experiences.
• Collaborate closely with the Teaching Assistant for classroom management and student support.
• Maintain accurate records, including lesson plans, assessments, portfolios and attendance.
• Communicate regularly with students, families and colleagues through conferences and updates.
• Identify students needing additional support and inform coordinators or management promptly.
• Participate in school events, assemblies, field trips and community activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Teaching or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Honest, highly responsible and reliable.
• Excellent digital literacy and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Positive attitude, high commitment, competence and motivation.
