Mortgage Loan Officer – Branch Banking

About the role

The Mortgage Loan Officer will manage the end‑to‑end mortgage lending process for individual and corporate clients at our Phnom Penh branch. You will ensure loan quality by conducting credit investigations, scoring, and underwriting activities while providing excellent client service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow the mortgage client portfolio in line with bank policies.
• Collect and verify all required documentation for loan applications.
• Gather and analyse applicants' financial records, credit histories, and property valuations.
• Conduct site visits to assess loan purpose, collateral, and repayment capacity.
• Prepare loan contracts, arrange timely disbursements, and explain loan options to clients.
• Perform regular post‑disbursement visits to monitor loan performance and identify cross‑selling opportunities.
• Follow up on delinquent accounts and refer cases to supervisors for portfolio management.
• Register title deeds with local authorities to secure legal ownership evidence.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in mortgage lending, banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of bank operations, loan policies, credit risk management and property evaluation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• High attention to accuracy and efficiency.
• Fluent in both Khmer and English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and the bank’s internal software.
