Manager of IT Governance Unit

About the role

The Manager of the IT Governance Unit will lead the development and execution of a risk‑based IT governance framework for the bank. This senior position reports to the Head of IT Security and works closely with Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit and other key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and oversee a risk‑based IT governance monitoring and assurance plan.
• Manage NBC TCRMG compliance, remediation tracking, evidence quality, overdue actions and escalation.
• Review material IT risk, compliance, control and regulatory findings and ensure corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit and relevant stakeholders on IT governance and regulatory matters.
• Consolidate IT governance, risk, compliance, audit, regulatory, project and service performance reports.
• Prepare the IT governance function for internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor audit findings, management actions, remediation plans and deadlines.
• Provide governance oversight for major technology investments, system acquisitions, outsourcing, cloud services and technology changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, risk, audit, business administration or a related field (advantageous).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience in IT governance, technology risk, policy management, regulatory compliance, audit or service management, preferably in banking or a regulated financial sector.
• Strong strategic leadership, sound judgment and executive communication skills.
• Excellent English speaking, writing and listening abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the bank’s branch network.

• ISO/IEC 27001 knowledge.
• PMP certification.
