IT Governance Officer

About the role

The IT Governance Officer will support the bank’s governance framework by managing policies, documentation, and compliance activities. This role ensures that all IT processes adhere to regulatory standards and internal controls while providing clear communication with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process assigned requests and maintain work status in the approved tracking system.
• Maintain registers for policy, exceptions, issues, regulatory actions, audit actions, committee decisions, and services.
• Collect, organize, and validate documents and evidence against defined requirements.
• Support policy drafting, consultation, formatting, approval records, publication, and review reminders.
• Perform routine analysis, control checks, reconciliations, and follow‑up under approved procedures.
• Prepare working papers, status reports, dashboard data, meeting materials, minutes, and action logs.
• Communicate with partners and stakeholders regarding inputs, status, deadlines, and missing evidence.
• Escalate errors, complaints, delays, exceptions, suspected control failures, and confidentiality concerns.
• Support reviews, projects, training, business continuity exercises, and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, information systems, risk, audit, or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of relevant experience, including internships or project work.
• Professional qualifications or foundational training in governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, or ISO/IEC 27001 are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and records‑management abilities.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to work under pressure.
