IT Application Officer

About the role

The IT Application Officer will be responsible for analysing, designing, enhancing and developing the bank's middleware system (Fiorano). The role ensures that all development follows the Bank's SDLC and IT policies while supporting end‑users to operate the system efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements, design solutions, code, test and implement middleware applications.
• Develop applications according to approved architecture and design specifications.
• Provide user support and troubleshoot system issues.
• Test patches or programs from vendors before production deployment.
• Collaborate with other developers and software providers to align new functions with overall applications.
• Prepare project reports, support audit activities and adhere to risk‑control guidelines.

Required profile

• University graduate, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least one year of experience developing applications or systems.
• Good communication skills in Khmer and English, with the ability to work in a team.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and IT governance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java or C# and object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with Web Services (SOAP & REST) and creating API documentation.
• Version control using Git or SVN.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as JWT and OAuth2.
• Familiarity with ESB platforms (Fiorano, WS02) – a plus.
• Ability to administer SQL Server databases.
• Experience with Linux and Sun Solaris operating systems.
