Database Administration Manager

About the role

The Database Administration Manager will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of all database environments supporting both testing and production systems. This role ensures high availability, optimal performance, and robust security for critical data assets.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain databases for testing and production environments.
• Plan capacity and monitor performance, including cluster and Data Guard status.
• Conduct ongoing tuning and performance optimization of database instances.
• Perform impact analysis for any database changes.
• Provide technical support to application development and other teams.
• Troubleshoot database issues and deliver timely resolutions.
• Execute backup and recovery procedures and apply security patches.
• Carry out any related tasks assigned by supervisors or management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard, RAC clustering, and database security.
• Proficiency in Linux and Solaris operating systems.
• Strong command of SQL and Unix shell scripting.
• Good communication, problem‑solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
