Business Analyst – IT & Insurance Systems

About the role

The Business Analyst will act as the bridge between business units and the IT team, ensuring that insurance‑related projects are defined, documented, and delivered according to stakeholder expectations. You will partner with product owners, developers, and testers to translate business needs into functional specifications and guide the project through its lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with business and IT stakeholders to capture changing project priorities.
• Produce and obtain sign‑off for business requirement documents and functional gap analyses.
• Collaborate with product owners to plan product roll‑outs and align development schedules.
• Facilitate project workshops, monitor progress, and support the development team during system build.
• Manage escalated project issues and assist testers during the testing phase.
• Provide support during system deployment to production and maintain the prioritized product backlog.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, System Engineering, IT Business, MIS or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software development or IT insurance systems implementation.
• At least 2 years of experience gathering and documenting IT business requirements, including prototyping, MVP design, mockup, and wireframe creation using automation tools.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum) and other software development lifecycle best practices.
• Experience in IT project management and familiarity with current technology trends.
• Understanding of database architecture and design.
