Senior Tax Officer

About the role

The Senior Tax Officer supports daily tax operations, ensuring compliance with Cambodian tax regulations and facilitating accurate, timely reporting. Working closely with the Tax Supervisor, the role involves documentation, stakeholder coordination, and communication with tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Tax Supervisor in documenting and maintaining tax collection and operation processes.
• Prepare, review, and submit tax documents and reports in line with Cambodian tax laws.
• Maintain organized filing of tax records for audit and compliance.
• Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and the General Department of Taxation (GDT).
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather supporting documents for tax matters.
• Communicate effectively with tax authorities and monitor ongoing tax cases.
• Escalate critical tax risks or compliance concerns to management.
• Prepare official correspondence and ensure accurate documentation.
• Assist in tax schedules, reconciliations, and supporting reports.
• Perform administrative tax duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in taxation, accounting or finance.
• Knowledge of Cambodian tax regulations and filing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and proactive attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
