Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead sourcing, purchasing and customs activities for our operations in Phnom Penh. The role will support multiple departments by ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining compliance with company policies and Cambodian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Explore new markets and sources for goods and services, reviewing specifications and delivery conditions.
• Obtain supplier quotations, perform quote analysis and obtain management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to monitor order fulfillment and resolve issues such as defects, damages or returns.
• Update and manage supplier and price databases, ensuring accurate contact information.
• Issue purchase orders, contracts and quotations for departmental approval and maintain proper documentation.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs authorities to manage shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
• Provide status updates to requestors and ensure compliance with retention schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, shipment handling and customs clearance in Cambodia.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in the power, energy or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian customs and tax regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts (advantageous).
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
