Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer will support the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services for the organization, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with specifications, and alignment with budgetary controls. This role works closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customs agents to maintain an efficient procurement process.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research to identify new sources for goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions, and payment terms for appropriateness.
• Obtain supplier quotations, perform quote analysis, and prepare documentation for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery and service fulfillment according to approved purchase requests and contracts.
• Update and maintain supplier, price, and contact databases.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages, or returns.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders, and service contracts for departmental approval.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs to manage shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, shipment coordination, and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs and transport agents.
• Familiarity with procurement practices in the power, energy, or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian customs regulations and tax provisions.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts (asset).
